Parents and coaches, I know you mean the best AND...

 

Overcorrecting doesn't fix your athlete's performance; it pokes holes in their self-esteem.


Why?


They are kids; they can't separate who they are from what they do.

  • I made a mistake = I am a mistake.

  • I failed = I am a failure.

  • I lost = I'm a loser.


The more holes they have, the quicker they sink.
